What Makes us #ProudtoCare?
This year we launched our #ProudtoCare campaign, to highlight the amazing work our staff members do everyday. We are also raising the profile of the care industry, its issues, misconceptions and of course, its positive impact on the community. We’ve asked our staff what makes them #ProudtoCare and today we thought we’d share with you some of their thoughts!
What Makes Stayathome #ProudtoCare?
Meeting and Working with a Variety of People
Working in the care industry, our staff meet and work with a diverse range of people on a daily basis. No two Stayathome clients are the same! Whether they’re born and bred in Cornwall, relocated to the county of migrated from another country, everyone is different. The same goes for their unique care needs, which is why we offer such a wide range of services. From short stays to overnight, respite or holiday packages, our staff are dedicated to catering to a client’s own unique needs!
Making a Difference in the Community
Enabling our clients to remain in their own homes is a passion everyone shares at Stayathome – no surprises there, it’s in our name! Keeping our clients active and involved in their community through weekly outings, attending our BOP lunch at Café CHAOS or taking part in the CHAOS Farm Placement Days benefits not only our clients but our staff too!
Helping Clients Reach Their Potential
We believe life is all about new experiences and being able to support clients to reach new milestones is something our staff do on a daily basis! No goal is too small for our team, whether it’s taking public transport, learning to cook or raising money for charity our team are there to help every step of the way! This incredible support and dedication to our clients ensures every achievement, however big or small, is celebrated in style!
The Variety of Work
No two days are the same when you work in the car industry, which is something our staff love! Working with a number of clients each day, you’re never sure what you might get up to! Of course each client has their own unique needs and requirements but once they’re met there’s always room for an adventure or two! Our Paediatric staff love taking clients out and about in Accessible Cornwall and they get up to all sorts of fun!
These are just some of the many reasons we’re #ProudtoCare, what do you think? We’d love to hear why you love working in the care industry, so be sure to share your ideas with us!
