October half term is fast approaching and with the kids off school you’re probably looking for exciting, fun-filled activities to keep them entertained! This week we share with you some of the many accessibility friendly events being held this half term.
Things to Do this Half Term
Fun in the Woods with Greensouls – Monday 23rd October
Join our friends for an exciting morning in the woods, where your little ones will learn all the bushcraft basics! Try your hand at fire lighting, mud modelling and cooking on the campfire while enjoying natural craft activities, a minibeast hunt and a ride on the big red tractor!
Folklore Trail at Lost Gardens of Heligan – Tuesday 24th October
The famous folklore trail returns to the Lost Gardens of Heligan this half term, kicking off on Saturday 21st October. Explore the dark woods and all its hidden surprises! Inspired by the ancient Russian tale of the wicket witch Baba Yaga, join the Puppet Craft for a spellbinding shadow puppet performance!
Trick & Treat Fireworks at Flambards – Wednesday 25th October
Watch the sky sparkle on Wednesday evening, as Flambards put on an impressive fireworks display! Enjoy music from the fantastic Olly Murs tribute, as you dance the night away with family and friends!
Sister Act at Hall for Cornwall – Thursday 26th October
Hall for Cornwall are holding two accessibility friendly performances of Sister Act this half term. A relaxed matinee performance starting at 2:30pm followed by a signed evening performance at 7:30pm. Based on the film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, this family friendly musical tells the story of Deloris, who’s life takes a turn when she finds herself in a convent for her own protection!
Fright Night at Pendennis Castle – Friday 27th October
Explore Pendennis Castle by night in this eerie evening tour. Spooky storytellers are on hand to lead you through the castle’s creepy past! Family Tours are at 5.30pm and 6.30pm (you must be 5 years old or older to take part.)
Little Monsters Ball at the Eden Project – Saturday 28th October
The Little Monsters Ball returns to the Eden Project this half term, wrapping up a fangastic week of Roald Dahl inspired Halloween fun! Whether you’re boo-gying in the disco or skating the night away on the ice rink, there are plenty of tasty treats to keep you going!
