Accessible Dog Friendly Beaches Cornwall

Perranporth Beach

Dog Friendly Beaches Cornwall

A popular seaside town on the north coast of Cornwall, Perranporth’s highstreet backs straight onto the sand. With level access to the beach, along with disabled toilet facilities and beach wheelchair hire, Perranporth is accessible and family friendly, with a lifeguard service operating throughout the summer months. Dogs are allowed on Perranporth beach all year round, though they must be kept on a lead during July and August, between 9am and 5pm.

Fistral Beach, Newquay

Dog Friendly Beaches Cornwall

The surfing capital of Cornwall, Fistral Beach attracts hundreds of adrenaline enthusiasts each year. The International Surfing Centre is set close to the beach, where you can find a range of shops and restaurants open daily. Fistral Beach is also the home to many events throughout the year, including the yearly surf, skate and music festival, Boardmasters. A dog friendly beach all year round, complete with beach wheelchair hire and disabled facilities, Fistral is the perfect place to submerge yourself in the surfing scene.

Carne Beach, Veryan

Dog Friendly Beaches Cornwall

A mile away from the Chaos Farm lies Carne Beach in Veryan. A remote but accessible beach. There is ample parking in the National Trust car park across from the beach, along with disabled parking spots at the side of the road. The beach is accessible via a steep slipway from the road, so may not be suitable for some wheelchair users. However it’s remote location and vast size means there are often quieter, more secluded spots to set up base – perfect for those with sensory needs.

Though there is no lifeguard patrol, the beach is safe for swimming. A popular choice for families, dogs are welcome all year round (though in summer months they must be kept on leads during the day.)
